Hey there! I'm Meiyi Chen,
a Researcher + Designer at CMU

I’m an observer, a curious learner, a creative thinker, a UX designer, a dedicated researcher, and currently a Research Associate at CMU.

- Graduated from METALS (Master of Educational Technology and Learning Sciences) at HCII, CMU in Pittsburgh;
- Did my undergrad in UW, Seattle, majoring in psychology, philosophy, and minoring in informatics with the HCI track.
- As a UX designer, interned at ByteDance, Lenovo, Yuanian, and SeeM;
- As a design researcher, contributed to Scholastics, and PLUS.

I like to use the straw of research, care and creative inspirations to paint great experience for learners and educators.

My Keywords

I believe Design is not only about beautiful graphics, but it is also about solving problems and meet people’s needs. Research discovers unknown and reframes the problems. Learning builds knowledge and competency.

I love meeting people and working with various teams and stakeholders. I believe we can achieve great things together and contribute values to the society.
